Who we are
Textent is a unified messaging platform that lets you manage conversations from multiple channels in one inbox. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email, and authentication credentials, to create and secure your account.
- Connected messages — content from the messaging accounts you choose to connect, so we can show them in your inbox. We never message your contacts without your action.
- Usage & diagnostics — with your consent, anonymized product analytics and error reports to improve the app.
Cookies & tracking
We use strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in and security — these are always on and required for the app to work. We use analytics and error-tracking cookies (PostHog, Sentry) only after you accept them. You can change your choice at any time: .
Who processes your data
We use a small set of trusted providers. Your database and application servers are in the EU (Germany).

- Application servers and Postgres database hosting (EU region)

- Frontend hosting (Pages), CDN, and media storage (R2)

- Product analytics — only with your consent
- Sentry
- Error and crash reporting — only with your consent

Your rights
If you're in the EU/UK, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at privacy@textent.site.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and disconnect your messaging accounts, subject to any legal retention obligations.
